Thomas Lakeman is dedicated to building all aspects of TREETI’s customer experience, product storytelling, and creative strategy.

Over the course of a wide-ranging career, Lakeman has continued to expand the potential of digital storytelling at the crossroads of entertainment and consumer brands.

Lakeman successfully launched Universal Pictures on the World Wide Web before co-founding Digital Planet, southern California’s first digital marketing agency. He was the creator of Madeleine’s Mind, the first fully animated Web series, and was a pioneer in digital marketing for entertainment.

As a creative strategist and brand storyteller, he has developed highly successful brand launch campaigns for Intel, Hallmark Cards, Disney, Old Navy, Warner Bros., MGM/UA, and STP. Many of these have been recognized for their innovative use of storytelling techniques in the service of consumer marketing.

Lakeman earned his B.A. at Sewanee: The University of the South and his M.F.A. at Carnegie Mellon University, following a year of independent study abroad as a Thomas J. Watson fellow. He is the author of three published novels and was the 2009 Tennessee Williams Playwright-in-Residence at Sewanee: The University of the South.
